Jack Bauer / Kiefer Sutherland
I started it at 100pm, drew it in real time, went out with friends at 600pm (happy 20th to Julia Gait) then returned home at midnight to finish this by 1am. Tick tock tick tock. Thanks to spankman for referring me to this which was awesome.

Kate Winslet
This took 6 hours. A friend called Laura popped over for tea whilst I was doing it, and had no idea (and still doesn’t) who it’s supposed to be. I listened to Jerermy Messersmith & Catherine Wheel. See the close Up.

Dexter / Michael C Hall
Dexter is my favourite TV show. I love the themes, the photography, the script, the humour, the character, the story. I also love the soundtrack, which I listened to alot (along with the Mr Brooks OST). I finished this about a month after starting, because I lost my motive (which happens once in a while). Close up.
Pinhead / Hellraiser
Hellraiser made a big impression on me when I first saw it in my mid-teens. I loved the atmosphere and just how insanely dark it all felt. Also, I loved how normally horror posters are more suggestive (e.g the egg in Alien) but for this, they just used his whole face as the poster (which became iconic). The drawing was complicated to the point of feeling like I was going a bit nuts half way through. I listened to Nine Inch Nails whilst doing it. I was also in conversation with a friend that day who had no idea what Hellraiser was, even when I tried to explain. Close up.
Jack Nicholson
This was on A0, and was done as a 60th Birthday present for my dad. I fluffed up the proportions of his mouth and had to redo it, but apart from that it was good fun to do. Close up.
Angelina Jolie
This only took a few hours and was a post-Silence of the Lambs chill-out drawing. I think I messed the hair up a bit, but I like the curl in the lower right. Close up.
Clarice Starling / Jodie Foster
This was drawn at the same time as the Hannibal one (on the same A0 sheet) but finished the next day. I went to see a Derren Brown show in the evening (Enigma) in Plymouth. Coincidentally, the Goldberg Variations were used in the Derren Brown show. Close up.
Hannibal Lector / Anthony Hopkins
Apart from a drawing of my niece as a gift for my sister-in-law, this was the first proper drawing I’d done for about ten years. I loved doing it – I listened to Bach’s Goldberg Variations (like Hannibal did in his cell) and by the evening felt delirious. Close up.
